Hisnul Muslim: Upon hearing a rooster crow or the braying of a donkey
Dua When a Rooster Crows or a Donkey Brays: 1 dua from Hisnul Muslim's chapter "Upon hearing a rooster crow or the braying of a donkey", in Arabic with transliteration and English translation, as narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
--
When you hear the cock's crow, ask Allah for His favor upon you for surely it has seen an angel. When you hear the bray of a donkey, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, for surely it has seen a devil.
Hisnul Muslim: Hisn al-Muslim 228
