Surah Baqarah Verse 273 (2:273)

(Charity is) for Fuqarâ (the poor), who in Allâh’s Cause are restricted (from travel), and cannot move about in the land (for trade or work). The one who knows them not, thinks that they are rich because of their modesty. You may know them by their mark, they do not beg of people at all.<sup foot_note=254699>1</sup> And whatever you spend in good, surely, Allâh knows it well.

صدقات کے مستحق صرف وه غربا ہیں جو اللہ کی راه میں روک دیئے گئے، جو ملک میں چل پھر نہیں سکتے<sup foot_note=294819>1</sup> نادان لوگ ان کی بے سوالی کی وجہ سے انہیں مالدار خیال کرتے ہیں، آپ ان کے چہرے دیکھ کر قیافہ سے انہیں پہچان لیں گے وه لوگوں سے چمٹ کر سوال نہیں کرتے<sup foot_note=294820>2</sup>، تم جو کچھ مال خرچ کرو تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کا جاننے واﻻ ہے۔
