Surah Baqarah Verse 93 (2:93)

And (remember) when We took your covenant and We raised above you the Mount (saying), "Hold firmly to what We have given you and hear (Our Word)." They said, "We have heard and disobeyed." And their hearts absorbed (the worship of) the calf because of their disbelief. Say: "Worst indeed is that which your faith enjoins on you if you are believers."

جب ہم نے تم سے وعده لیا اور تم پر طور کو کھڑا کردیا (اور کہہ دیا) کہ ہماری دی ہوئی چیز کو مضبوط تھامو اور سنو! تو انہوں نے کہا، ہم نے سنا اور نافرمانی کی<sup foot_note=294362>1</sup> اور ان کے دلوں میں بچھڑے کی محبت (گویا) پلا دی گئی<sup foot_note=294360>2</sup> بسبب ان کے کفر کے<sup foot_note=294361>3</sup>۔ ان سے کہہ دیجیئے کہ تمہارا ایمان تمہیں برا حکم دے رہا ہے، اگر تم مومن ہو
