Surah Al Imran Verse 187 (3:187)

(And remember) when Allâh took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) to make it (the news of the coming of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the religious knowledge) known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it, but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And indeed worst is that which they bought.

اور اللہ تعالیٰ نے جب اہل کتاب سے عہد لیا کہ تم اسے سب لوگوں سے ضرور بیان کرو گے اور اسے چھپاؤ گے نہیں، تو پھر بھی ان لوگوں نے اس عہد کو اپنی پیٹھ پیچھے ڈال دیا اور اسے بہت کم قیمت پر بیچ ڈاﻻ۔ ان کا یہ بیوپار بہت برا ہے.<sup foot_note=295329>1</sup>
